| Paramedics
|
Paramedics are a vital position in the delivery of patient care at American Ambulance. Paramedics at American Ambulance must have excellent clinical knowledge, technical proficiency, and compassion for their patients. American Ambulance Paramedics must be able to assess the scene, prioritize, delegate, and adapt to various environments and challenges. A current California Paramedic License or National Registry Paramedic Certification is required to apply for this position.

| EMT
|
Whether working on an ALS unit, BLS unit, or a Neonatal Transport unit, EMTs play an important role in our team approach to patient care. In a Paramedic/EMT system with limited First Responder resources, EMTs are relied upon and have a great deal of responsibility to ensure scene operations run smoothly and safely. A current EMT certification from any California EMS Agency or National Registry EMT Certification is required to apply for this position.

Dispatcher
|
American Ambulance Dispatchers staff and operate the CCEMSA Communications Center, which is a secondary Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) in the 9-1-1 system. The Communication Center dispatches all ambulances in Fresno, Kings, and Madera counties. Our Dispatchers also dispatch and coordinate all responses for numerous Departments. Dispatchers at American Ambulance provide callers with pre-arrival instructions and utilize the latest technology in Computer Aided Dispatch. Previous dispatch experience is not required to apply for this position. Once selected, all training will be provided.

Support Services Technicians
|
Support Services Technicians (SST) perform many different tasks to support our system. Whether inventorying, washing, fueling, or restocking an ambulance or picking up and delivering equipment from hospitals or remote work locations, SSTs are a vital component of the American Ambulance team. A valid California Driver License is required to apply for this position.
